Rudraksh

Rudraksh i.e. Rudra denoting Lord Shiva and Aksh i.e. tears thereby meaning Tears of Lord Shiva.  As per Puranas, Lord Shiva goes into deep meditation after the destruction (Pralay) of every thing so that Nature (World) can be created again.  After the completion of meditation, when Lord Shiva opens his eyes then all Devi and Devtas are created and alongwith that Lord Shiva’s tears also flows which fall on earth and takes the shape of Rudraksh Tree.  The fruits of these trees are known as Rudraksha.  It means Rudraksh in other words is part of Lord Shiva himself.  It is believed that one who wears Rudraksha actually wears Lord Shiva and thus gets blessings of Lord Shiva in the shape of various benefits.

 Rudraksh is mainly found in Nepal.  Some Rudrakshas are also found in Java- Sumatra.  Rudraksh is having lines on it and the number of lines denotes its facet (Mukhi); e.g. if there is only one line then it is called one Mukhi.  If there are fourteen lines then it is called 14 Mukhi (Facets).

 Rudraksh is found from one to twenty one Mukhi (Facets).  One to twenty one Mukhis gives different benefits if worn properly.  It depends upon the nature of a problem as to what Mukhi (Facets) Rudraksha the seeker should be wearing.  In addition there is Gauri-Shankar Rudraksha, Ganesha Rudraksh, Ek Mukhi Savaar Dana, Trijuti Rudraksha are also there.

 Various Mukhis (Facets) Rudraksh are for different purposes like one Mukhi for helping in the treatment of mental anxiety, lever and skin problems, Asthma etc.  This one Mukhi also helps in achieving salvation as it affects the Chakra on top of the head.  This also helps in achieving higher levels of concentrations.  Wherever one Mukhi Rudraksha is worshiped, Goddess Lakshmi bestows her blessings.  It also helps in managing B.P. and heart diseases.

Similarly other Mukhis (Facets) Rudraksha have their own purposes for which only an expert can guide the seeker.
